Privacy Policy
Effective 26 August 2026. Covers the Still iPhone app and stillphone.app.
Still is made by Jin Ho Lee, an individual developer, and that is who is responsible for this policy. Questions, requests, or complaints go to hello@stillphone.app. There is no company behind this and no third party involved.
The app carries no analytics code, no advertising identifiers and no third-party SDKs. You never create an account. We do not run a server, so there is nowhere for your data to go.
The app writes your lists, your chosen look, your schedule and your settings into a private container on your iPhone that it shares with its widgets. Everything stays on the device, and we cannot read any of it.
If you are signed into iCloud, your lists and settings sync between your own devices through Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage. It travels inside your iCloud account, under Apple's privacy policy. None of it touches a server we run, and we cannot see it. Turn iCloud off for Still in iOS Settings and the syncing stops.
The weather widget is optional. If you add it and grant permission, iOS gives the app your approximate location so it can ask Apple's WeatherKit for local conditions. The app uses it for that one request and keeps no copy. If you never add the weather widget, the app never asks. Apple Weather supplies the forecast.
If you save a wallpaper, iOS asks permission to add that one image to your photo library. The app can only add. It cannot look at anything already in there.
Apple handles the whole purchase through the App Store. We never see your name, your email or your payment details. The app asks Apple whether a purchase exists and keeps only the yes-or-no answer on your device.
Tapping a name in your list asks iOS to open a web address for that app. If the app is installed, iOS opens it directly. If it is not, the address opens in your browser. We play no part in that request and get nothing back from it.
If you use these, the app hands iOS the names of your lists so it can offer them in Shortcuts, Focus filters and search. All of that happens on your device through Apple's frameworks, and Apple's own privacy terms cover what iOS does with it.
Still is not aimed at children, and it collects no personal information from anyone at any age. Because nothing is collected, the consent rules that normally apply to children's data have nothing to attach to here. That is true whether the local threshold is 13, as in the United States, or 16, as in much of the EU.
Under the GDPR these sections normally list what we process, why, and for how long. There is nothing to list. No personal data reaches us, so there is no processing to justify, no retention period to state, and no transfer out of your country to declare. The one moment anything leaves your phone is a weather request, which Apple handles under its own terms.
We hold no data about you, so we have nothing to export, correct or delete on your behalf. To wipe everything the app has stored, delete the app. You can also use Start over inside Settings, which clears your lists and the synced copy.
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from a third party. The fonts come from our own server, so no outside company learns that you visited. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps the ordinary request logs every web host keeps: IP address, time, and which page was asked for. They are used to keep the site up and are not read by us or joined to anything else.
If this policy ever changes, we change the effective date above and replace the old wording here. We will not start collecting data quietly.
