Every setup on this page follows one rule: the home screen shows words instead of icons. Your apps become a short text list inside a widget, and the rest of the screen stays empty. Here are six ways that can look.
The starting point. A near-black widget on a black wallpaper, a clock, and the five apps you actually use. Everything else lives in the App Library.
Cream ground, serif type. This one reads like a page from a book, which is a useful reminder of what you would rather be doing.
The list stays folded behind the clock until you tap. Most of the day, your home screen tells the time and nothing else.
Numbers read fast and words read slow. Writing the time out in letters takes the urgency out of checking your phone.
Monospaced type on a warm dark ground. Good if your phone is mostly a writing and reading tool.
Tall, thin type on white. The loudest of the six, and still quieter than a single app icon.
